Special Candle Sites

In 1965 Mrs. Edward Tollefsen of Kearney, Nebraska founded the International Guild of Candle Artisans. "The idea to start a candlecrafters’ association came to me as I read Ruth Monroe’s CandleGlo Magazine. She seemed so much like myself, an amateur anxious to share her knowledge with others…Ruth was so enthusiastic that she immediately printed my name and address. Then Mr. Wilson of Wick Magazine offered his facilities and services. After the publicity in these two magazines inquiries began coming in faster. We were soon giving birth to our new baby, the candlecrafters’ guild.
